Job summary

Tranquilo Communities is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee a large manufactured housing community near O'Hare Airport in the Chicago area.

The role oversees 140 sites with high occupancy, rent collection, leasing, and resident relations, with potential growth into a Regional Manager role overseeing multiple communities within 1–2 hours of the main property. An assistant remains onsite to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous manufactured housing, multifamily, property management, or regional management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with leasing, collections, budgeting, and resident relations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Comfortable traveling to nearby communities as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Job description

Tranquilo Communities is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee a well-established, 140-site manufactured housing community near O'Hare Airport.

The community is approximately 95% occupied, with one home available for sale, several rental homes, and a small number of delinquency matters requiring attention. The property is stable and operating well, making this a strong opportunity for an experienced manager who can maintain performance while identifying opportunities for continued improvement.

For the right candidate, this position may grow into a Regional Manager role overseeing three to four additional communities located within approximately one to two hours of the main property. An assistant would remain onsite at the primary community to support day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits

• $50,000-$75,000+ annually, depending on experience and responsibilities
• Sales and leasing commissions
• Housing may be negotiable
