Related Affordable is seeking a dynamic Community Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a 179-unit affordable housing community in Poughkeepsie, NY. You will oversee a dedicated team, ensure compliance with affordable housing programs, and drive operational excellence while fostering a resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property management experience.
• Expertise in affordable housing programs (Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC, etc.).
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and accounting principles.
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards (or similar property management software).
• Proven leadership skills with direct supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise office and maintenance staff, including hiring and training.
• Oversee leasing, marketing, recertifications, and administrative functions.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, rent collection and delinquencies.
• Foster resident relations and handle tenant/landlord relations and conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs (HDC, HCR, HUD, LIHTC).
• Supervise maintenance and ensure high-quality service.
• Develop and manage the property budget and financials.
• Prepare reports to track performance and identify improvements.
• Lead special projects to enhance the community.
