Job summary

Kiln in Tucson, Arizona seeks a Community Manager to curate a vibrant member community, lead a high‑performing site team, and ensure a seamless, welcoming daily experience that makes every member feel at home.

You will partner with the Area Manager to drive membership growth and occupancy, design engaging events, build partnerships with local startups, restaurants, and service providers, and uphold Kiln’s hospitality and lifestyle standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create & Support Community: Design and execute initiatives that foster meaningful connections, including events and member introductions.
  • Drive Sales & Performance: Support strategies to achieve KPIs, including membership growth and occupancy; lead tours.
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee site operations, maintenance, and vendor management to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Support & Lead Team Execution: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and guiding team members.
  • Engage in the Local Community: Build relationships within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and form partnerships.
  • Execute Events & Programming: Maintain a robust calendar of educational and community-building events.

About the Role:

The Community Manager will be the face of the Kiln brand in Tucson, Arizona. This person will lead the day-to-day curation of a vibrant community, support the development and management of a high-performing team, and ensure all aspects of the Kiln site run seamlessly to provide a dynamic and frictionless working environment for members. This role partners closely with the Area Manager to support Kiln’s success in the Tucson market and requires flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.


Goals and Objectives:


  • Provide a world class experience for Kiln members and guests

  • Drive top- and bottom-line growth for the site through P&L ownership

  • Implement practices to ensure operational excellence for the community


As Community Manager, You Will:

Create & Support Community:

Design and execute community initiatives that foster meaningful connections, including events, member introductions, and communications. Proactively understand member needs and identify opportunities to enhance their experience.


Drive Sales & Performance:

Support and execute strategies to achieve financial KPIs, including membership growth, occupancy, and event revenue. Lead tours for prospective members and contribute to a strong sales pipeline.


Manage Daily Operations:

Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure a seamless member experience. Coordinate maintenance, manage vendors, and ensure the space is consistently operating at a high standard.


Support & Lead Team Execution:

Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and managing team members. Provide day-to-day guidance, support scheduling, and help ensure team members meet their individual and collective goals.


Engage in the Local Community:

Build relationships within the local business and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Participate in events and create partnerships that enhance the Kiln community and drive awareness.


Execute Events & Programming:

Maintain and execute a robust calendar of events, ensuring a thoughtful balance of educational, community-building, and lead-generating experiences.


As Community Manager, You’ll Need:

  • Experience in hospitality, coworking, retail, or a related field

  • Experience managing or supporting a team

  • Customer service and sales experience required
