Job summary

Region is seeking a Community Living Technician to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in supervised living settings in Mississippi. The role involves teaching community living skills, assisting with personal care, daily activities, medical care access, and arranging basic needs for residents.

You will support with meal planning, transportation, scheduling appointments, and documentation to meet state standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Typing, transcription skills and computer skills required.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid Mississippi Driver’s license.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains documentation to meet program requirements.
• Maintains training, continuing education, and certifications as required.
• Assists individuals with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assists with banking, bill paying, and social activities.
• Assists with turns and positions for non-ambulatory consumers.
• Uses behavioral management techniques when interacting with individuals.
• Participates in recreational and social activities.
• Assists with meal planning and grocery shopping.
• Schedules and attends medical appointments and ensures understanding of discussions.
• Provides transportation to daily activities, including work.
• Monitors individuals at all times.
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
