Job summary

Community Living and Support Services (CLASS) is seeking staff to support individuals with disabilities and seniors in Allegheny County. You will help participants build safe relationships, offer life-skills coaching, and assist with daily activities, budgeting, and transportation planning.

The role emphasizes participant advocacy, goal setting, and collaborating with the participant to connect with community programs, while maintaining records and ensuring quality services in a person-centered

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of direct experience with people with disabilities or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
Driver's license and own vehicle may be required to travel throughout Allegheny County.

Responsibilities

Support participants to develop and maintain safe relationships with family, friends, and community members.
Provide life skills training in budgeting, meals, shopping, scheduling and transportation.
Assist participants with decision-making and advocacy for their needs.
Create a Plan of Action based on each participant's goals and priorities.
Complete applications, research community resources and maintain ongoing involvement with participants.
