Description: Assisting individuals with learning or physical disabilities to develop skills for independent living.
As a Community Living Instructor, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with learning or physical disabilities in developing essential skills for independent living. Your responsibilities will include teaching clients practical skills within both home and community environments at appropriate times. Additionally, you will be expected to set positive examples for clients and co-workers, including demonstrating appropriate dress and hygiene, maintaining a strong work ethic, punctuality, and treating co-workers and employers with respect.
What you’ll be doing as aCommunity LivingInstructor
Provide assistance with living skills
Health maintenance and medication administration
Personal care, Community participation and positive behavior development
Implement and evaluate Person Center Plan outcomes and objectives for specific individuals
What we look for in a Community LivingInstructor
Valid driver's license
HS Diploma and/or GED
CNA, Home Health, or Care Provider experience
Ability to multi-task
Strong leadership skills.
Customer service-oriented.
Teamwork and cooperation.
Efficient organizational skills.
Flexibility with working hours.
Ability to plan, organize, and carry out instructions.
