Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice seeks a dynamic Business Development professional to serve as the key liaison with physicians, hospitals, and health systems.

You will educate referral sources on Enhabit services and program requirements to drive referrals and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in healthcare admin, marketing, or related field; or approved nursing/therapy/social work degree.
• Graduate of nursing, therapy, or social work preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in healthcare business development, community relations, marketing, or sales.
• Knowledge of federal/state/local laws for Medicare home health & hospice operations.
• Valid state driver license and auto liability insurance.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; English fluency.
• In-office attendance is essential for supervision, teamwork, and task completion.
• Experience in home health, hospice, or post-acute care preferred.
• Experience with electronic referral systems and Homecare Homebase (HCHB) preferred.
• Established relationships with physicians/hospitals/senior living and other referral sources preferred.
• Dependable transportation; able to drive in all weather.
• Oral and written communication; English fluency; active listening.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary relationship manager between the company and referral sources including physicians, physician practices, hospitals, health systems, inpatient facilities, senior living communities, professional associations, and other healthcare organizations or progressional. Supports referral growth by providing awareness and education of company services and program requirements to referral sources, patients, families, caregivers and community partners to help navigate post‑acute care transitions with the goal of improving patient outcomes, supporting care transition, and promoting exceptional quality and patient / referral source satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Required to have Bachelor's Degree in, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field or a graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work. Equivalent years of equivalent work experience is considered in lieu of degree requirements.
• Highly preferred graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work.
• Required minimum two years of experience in healthcare business development, community relations, marketing, or sales.
• Required demonstrated experience and understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines governing Medicare certified home health and hospice operations.
• Required to have and maintain a valid state driver license in the current state of residence.
• Required to have and maintain automobile liability insurance, as required by law.
• Required strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • If Clinical:
  • Required to have and maintain clinical license, per state requirements to complete this job in accordance with applicable board’s rules.
• Highly preferred experience in home health, hospice, post‑acute care, or related healthcare services.
• Preferred previous experience using electronic referral systems and Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
• Preferred established relationships with physicians, hospitals or senior living communities and other referral sources.
• Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition and be able to safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
• Demonstrated intermediate technology skills. Especially Microsoft office, including word and excel.
• Other than for designated full‑time remote positions, in‑office attendance is essential in order to achieve Enhabit objectives, including but not limited to, effective supervision, teamwork, task completion, and other position objectives.
