Job summary

Elwyn is seeking a Community Liaison to expand its presence across southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. You will build partnerships, manage referrals, and educate community partners about Elwyn’s programs.

Travel locally for meetings and events, develop marketing plans with program leaders, and track performance metrics to guide growth. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and a commitment to Elwyn’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
  • Two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health marketing; external marketing preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation; daily travel within territory
  • Experience with clinical service program operation and service delivery for behavioral health and intellectual disabilities
  • Not-for-profit business experience a plus
  • Affiliations with service and industry associations
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to develop and facilitate presentations
  • Ability to set and achieve aggressive goals and track results
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop census growth for Elwyn’s service lines including Behavioral Health, Education, and IDD
  • Develop and maintain referral networks with community organizations, healthcare providers, payers, and other groups
  • Travel locally for face-to-face meetings, lunch & learns, presentations, and provider meetings
  • Collaborate with Program Leaders and Admission & Business Development to create marketing plans
  • Track and report performance metrics, competitive analyses, admissions growth, and market research
  • Prospect growth opportunities outside the existing service area
  • Build a referral source database and community contacts for marketing and admissions
  • Share insights on trends with leaders to ensure growth and sustainability
  • Promote Elwyn brand consistently across print and web collateral
  • Attend community events and conferences to increase Elwyn’s presence
  • Monitor referrals with Admission Coordinators for smooth transitions
  • Demonstrate Elwyn core values and culture daily
  • Monitor regulatory changes and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description

The Community Liaison plays a integral role in growing Elwyn’s presence by positioning Elwyn as the provider of choice across the southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey regions. The Community Liaison establishes & nurtures relationships with community partners to strengthen collaboration and referral activities that result in an excess of budgeted admissions that support Elwyn’s strategic plan.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for census development and growth of Elwyn’s service lines, including Behavioral Health, Education, and Intellectual & Development Disability programs for children and adults.
  • Develop and maintain referral networks with community organizations, healthcare providers, payers, and other relevant groups to foster reciprocal referral relationships.
  • Daily activities include local travel to conduct face-to-face meetings, development and facilitation of lunch & learns, delivering presentations, planning and attending provider meetings, etc. to educate on and promote Elwyn’s community programs.
  • Collaborate with Elwyn’s Program Leaders and Elwyn’s Admission & Business Development teams to develop a marketing plan that supports our strategic goals & objectives.
  • Utilizes tools to track and report performance metrics, competitive analyses, admissions growth, and market research.
  • Prospect for growth opportunities outside of Elwyn’s existing service area.
  • Develop a referral source database, along with community contacts, to assist with marketing and admissions to the programs.
  • Identifies trends, both positive and negative, that impact marketing and admissions and shares this feedback along with recommended solutions to the leaders within impacted programs to ensure continuous growth of service offerings and sustainability in all program areas.
  • Serves as a steward and key promoter of the organizationally approved Elwyn brand to ensure consistency in message delivery of print and web collateral.
  • Maintains membership in community organizations, committees, advocacy groups and regularly attends meetings to establish Elwyn’s presence in the community.
  • Attends community events and conferences, both locally and across the region, to increase Elwyn’s presence and to position Elwyn as an industry leader.
  • Ongoing collaboration with the Admission Coordinators to monitor referrals to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Demonstrates the corporate Core Values and Mission and culture in daily work.
  • Monitors changes in competitive practices, rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields; in lieu of undergraduate degree, equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in addition to required experience below.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health marketing. Experience in external marketing preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation. Daily travel expectations within assigned territory.
  • Experience with clinical service program operation and service delivery knowledge to those with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience in not-for-profit business a plus.
  • Affiliations with service and industry associations.
  • Demonstrated exceptional skills in customer interaction, collaboration, verbal communication, and developing and facilitating presentations; demonstrated strong written communication skills.
  • Known for setting and achieving aggressive goals.
  • Skill for tracking and reporting goals and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Must have current, valid driver’s license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record.
