Yona Solutions in Michigan is seeking a motivated Cook to join our team and provide warm, friendly hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining high safety and sanitation standards. You will prepare meals per menus, ensure proper portioning and timely service, and contribute to cost control by efficient use of ingredients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to recipes.
• Prepares quality food products according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepares food in a timely manner at specified meal times.
• Responds to community issues or concerns in the dining room.
• Follows departmental sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Cleans kitchen and storage areas and labels all foods.
