Job summary

Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge is recruiting three internists/subspecialists to join a strong hospitalist program and community practice. Candidates should have GIM with subspecialty interest relevant to the hospital and community, and be prepared to apply for a clinical appointment with UBC.

The successful candidates will serve as most responsible physicians for the sickest patients, provide consultative support, and participate in teaching residents and medical students.

Qualifications

• CPSBC certification and FRCPC in Internal Medicine required.
• CMPA coverage is required.
• Proficiency in point-of-care ultrasound, leadership, medical administration and teaching will be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative support as internist/subspecialist for high-acuity cases.
• Follow up with patients in the community and develop outpatient practices.
• Participate in teaching of residents, fellows and medical students.
• Support hospitalist program and expansion of rapid-access clinic.
