Job summary

Knox Public Health in Mount Vernon, OH seeks a Registered Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and therapeutic oral health services for patients of all ages in a community health setting. You will work closely with the dental team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and support outreach efforts to improve oral health in the Knox County community.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Ohio as a licensed dental hygienist.
• Minimum of two years’ experience preferred; case-by-case consideration.
• Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary License is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult and child prophylaxis and sealants.
• Take digital x-rays and educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Maintain patient records in the electronic dental record system.
• Support a compassionate, patient-centered care approach with the dental team.
• Assist in other areas of the dental clinic as needed.
