Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group is hiring a full-time housekeeping staff member to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment across all areas of the community, including residents’ rooms and common spaces. The role includes weekend shifts and on-the-job training.

English communication is required. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, carpet care, furnishings polishing, waste removal and reporting hazards to management.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions in accordance with established procedures.
• Follows safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Reports hazardous equipment or conditions to management.
• Cleans floors (sweeping, mopping, waxing, disinfecting).
• Cleans carpets (vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, disinfecting).
• Cleans and polishes furnishings in hallways, stairways and elevators.
• Cleans resident rooms (vacuum, mop, disinfect bathrooms, mirrors).
• Daily collects all trash from rooms, offices, lounges and bathrooms.
• Cleans walls/windows/baseboards; keeps areas clean and smudge-free.
• Assists setting up dining, activity and living rooms as needed.
• Reports repairs to maintenance; fills out work orders.
• Keeps housekeeping areas and equipment clean and uncluttered.
• Responds to resident needs as they arise.
• Laundering facility linens as needed.
• Keeps supervisor informed of supply needs.
• Reports accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Follows cleaning schedules; turns in found articles to supervisor.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information and respects privacy.
• Performs any other duties assigned by admin staff.
