Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assess and treat patients across a range of ages and diagnoses in Montana. The role focuses on restoring mobility and function using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, while providing education to patients and families about the treatment plan.

The incumbent will work within a supportive interdisciplinary team, follow state licensing rules, and participate in ongoing professional development and quality

Qualifications

• Must hold Montana PT licensure (or temporary license per state act).
• Graduate from an approved PT program with a DPT/Master’s/BA in Physical Therapy or PT certification.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform age- and diagnosis-specific assessments to inform data-driven treatment plans.
• Utilize exercise, manual therapy, modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination and ROM.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers about treatment programs and prevention of injuries.
• Delegate tasks to PTA or Rehabilitation aide as appropriate and adhere to licensing and Benefis policies.

Responsible for performing an age and diagnosis specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient's/resident's/client's individual needs. Utilizes exercise, soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, manual therapy techniques, equipment and physical and electrical modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motions, and to decrease pain to restore mobility and function. Provides education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient's/resident's/client's and family/caregiver and other members of the health care team. Delegates as necessary aspects of care to the PTA or Rehabilitation aide based on their job descriptions. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System's organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

• Physical Therapy Licensure, in Montana
• Temporary licensure as governed by the State Practice Act
• Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a DPT, Master's degree, or BA degree in Physical Therapy or certification in Physical Therapy
• Current BLS certification.

Exemption Wage Non-Exempt Starting Wage $38.55/hourly Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience
