Job summary

Intermountain Health Spanish Fork Hospital and Intermountain Health Orem Community Hospital seek a Chief Medical Officer to lead clinical care, direct medical affairs, and drive safety, quality, access, and patient experience across the facility. The role partners with hospital executives, physicians, and APPs to align strategies with the Intermountain Operating Model.

Qualifications

• MD or DO education from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.
• Active medical licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure.
• Board certified in relevant medical specialty.
• Three years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• Experience in change management and implementing new processes or technology.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and leadership for hospital clinical care teams.
• Coordinate and govern medical affairs with hospital executive leadership.
• Lead clinical performance, quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and administration across disciplines.
• Develop and implement high-reliability culture and evidence-based standards.
