Genoa Healthcare in Akron, OH is seeking a pharmacist to perform professional duties related to prescription processing and patient support. The role includes coverage at Canton, OH one day per week and occasional travel to nearby Genoa locations to ensure continuity of care for behavioral health patients.

The position operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with no weekend shifts, and offers hourly pay from $44 to $79 based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current Ohio pharmacist license.
• Certified immunizer.
• Willing to complete LAI training and administer LAI.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Pharmacist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.

Seeking a pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. This position is based primarily at our Akron, Ohio pharmacy, where you will work four days per week, with one day per week spent supporting our Canton, Ohio pharmacy. The ideal candidate will also be willing to provide occasional coverage at other Genoa Healthcare locations within approximately one hour of Akron when business needs arise. In this role, you will help maintain continuity of care by ensuring patients, many of whom are receiving behavioral health services, have uninterrupted access to their medications and pharmacy support across both locations

Hours: Pharmacy hours are generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / No weekends or holidays
