Job summary

Apex Service Partners is seeking a motivated Community Engagement Intern to support outreach efforts and strengthen our market presence in Fort Smith, AR. This part-time role focuses on partnerships, local events, volunteer initiatives, and communications with community partners.

The role works with the Community Engagement Manager and Regional Social Media Specialist to execute initiatives aligned with company values and goals, while developing hands-on event coordination experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completing a degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Event Management or related field.
• Experience in customer service, event planning or volunteer leadership is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities.
• Willing to represent the company at community events and networking functions.
• Part-time role averaging 15–25 hours per week with some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building relationships with nonprofits, schools, chambers of commerce, municipalities, and local groups.
• Attend networking events, ribbon cuttings, trade shows, and community functions with the company.
• Support development of local partnerships and identify community involvement opportunities.
• Coordinate sponsorships, activations, and maintain communication with partners.
• Track partnerships and help measure community impact.
