BayCare Health Systems, in Clearwater, FL, seeks an experienced Community Engagement Coordinator to advance behavioral health initiatives within the BayCare Behavioral Health Alliance. The role focuses on building relationships with city, county, and state providers to improve behavioral health options and coordinate community benefits.

The ideal candidate brings 5 years of community outreach or behavioral health experience, a Bachelor's in a related field, and preferably a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred for advancement.
• At least 5 years of community outreach or 5 years in behavioral health experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Engage in ongoing assessment and development of collaborative activities with city, county, state providers to improve behavioral health alternatives.
• Interface and create relationships with communities across Tampa Bay.
• Build connections and fosters collaboration between communities with issues and needs in behavioral health.
• Coordinate BayCare Behavioral Health Alliance activities including training and program development.
• Serve as BayCare Behavioral Health Community Benefits Liaison.
• Assist Government Relations in developing public policy messages; represent the BayCare team for updates or presentations.
• Promote behavioral health priorities at local, state and federal levels; coordinate with government relations managers.
• Represent BayCare in Washington DC and Tallahassee as needed.

BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced Community Engagement Coordinator to join our Behavioral Health Team!

• Location: Clearwater, FL
• Status: Full-Time, Exempt: Yes
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Shift: Days
• Weekend Work: None
• On Call: No

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for:

• Engage in ongoing assessment and development of collaborative activities including city, county, state providers and services; to improve behavioral health alternatives.
• Interface and create relationships with communities across Tampa Bay.
• Build connections and fosters collaboration between communities with particular issues, concerns and needs specific to behavioral health.
• Coordinate efforts related to the BayCare Behavioral Health Alliance group: to include training and education activities, and program development.
• Serve as BayCare Behavioral Health Community Benefits Liaison.
• Assist Federal Government Relations Manager in developing public policy messages advancing federal legislative and regulatory priorities. Represent the BayCare Government Relations team for internal and external legislative updates or other presentation needs.
• Promote behavioral health legislative priorities at the local, state and federal levels, ensuring coordination with federal and state government relations managers.
• Represent BayCare in Washington DC and Tallahassee as needed.

Required

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field
• Masters Degree preferred

Experience:

• 5 years community outreach or 5 years behavioral health experience
