Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union is seeking a Community Engagement Associate to foster brand visibility and community relationships through engaging events. You will work under the Community Engagement Manager, coordinating events, partnerships, and sponsorship activations with a focus on member and prospect engagement.

This role supports cross‑functional teams, creates event collateral, and captures content for promotion.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years relevant experience in marketing is required.
• Passion for building community partnerships and delivering impactful events.
• Strong organizational, communication, networking and relationship-building skills; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Support to engage with our community and reach new communities both online and offline.
• Plan, coordinate and execute a variety of events including community events and outreach, sponsorship activations, SCCU team member volunteer opportunities, workshops and more.
• Manage all aspects of event logistics including venue selection, vendor negotiations, budget management, participant recruitment and communications, and onsite coordination.
• Create comprehensive event timelines, run-of-show documents, and ensure seamless execution.
• Work with marketing, design, social media and internal communications to develop event collateral (announcements, forms, invitations, signage, materials).
• Capture event content through photos, videos, and interviews for social media and promos.
• Identify and develop local community partnerships to increase awareness and engagement.
• Collaborate on sports sponsorship components to enhance fan experience and awareness.
• Prepare post-event reports with metrics, feedback and insights for improvement.

Community Engagement Associate Key Responsibilities:

• Support to engage with our community and reach new communities both online and offline.

• Proactively identify, research and develop local community partnership opportunities that increase community awareness and engagement, expand event reach, meet local community needs, and support shared SCCU and organizational goals.
• Collaborate to develop and execute components of sports sponsorship program to enhance fan experience, engagement, and awareness.
• Prepare post-event reports with key metrics, feedback, and actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Community Engagement Associate Requirements:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

1-4 years relevant experience in marketing is required.

A passion for building meaningful community partnerships and delivering impactful events, along with strong organizational communication, creative thinking, networking, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining close attention to detail.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Community Engagement Associate Compensation:

• Starting Salary: $51,450 - $54,505 annually.
• Bonus Opportunity: Eligible for ONE SCCU Annual Bonus.

Work Schedule

• Hybrid and Flexible Schedule Options: This position is hybrid with two days per week required in office.
• Monday – Friday: Flexible within the departments core hours (7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) Some nights and weekends as needed for events.
