Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be 21 years old and not have reached 40 by appointment.
• Valid driver's license from state of residence.
• Must pass a mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned area in vehicle and on foot; maintains high patrol visibility to assist in crime prevention.
• Performs police-community relations tasks; talks with citizens and local businesses to advise on safety measures.
• Receives and responds to emergency and non-emergency radio runs; responds with siren/red lights when needed.
• Prepares and submits reports (incident reports, affidavits, etc.) and maintains activity records.
• Conducts criminal investigations, interviews, and assists in pursuits and apprehensions as required.
