Job summary

JEVS is seeking a Community Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities prepare for and find meaningful work in the Camden County area of New Jersey. You will coordinate assessments, job matching, and employer relationships to support client independence and economic security.

You will manage a caseload, guide job seekers through interviews, track progress, and collaborate with partners to expand opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned caseload to develop, change and track results of the job seeker’s goals.
• Match a job seeker's interests and abilities with available jobs. Look for new employers and nurture relationships with existing employers.
• Conduct an assessment of each job seeker. Focus on total life experiences, not just work history, and interest.
• Support job seeker in obtaining an interview for identified jobs. Attend interview if needed.
• Support participants currently employed to increase skills, abilities, hours, duties, authority as desired by participant.
