Overview
District 214 Community Education is seeking enthusiastic Special Interest Instructors to design and deliver engaging courses for adult learners.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to design and deliver adult enrichment courses.
- Teach classes, typically on weekday evenings, with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
- Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills when dealing with staff, students, outside officials/agencies, and the general public.
- Project a positive image of the district and exhibit a positive employee attitude.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned.
- If over 18, submit to a background check through District 214 and complete new employee GCN training updating annually as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
Hours
Part‑time; must be available evenings and/or weekends.
Location
Various District 214 school locations.
Salary
$20–$40 per hour based on experience.
