The Town of Adams, Massachusetts seeks an experienced Chief of Police to lead the Adams Police Department with a community-focused, collaborative approach. The successful candidate will bring proven supervisory experience, sound judgment, and a commitment to integrity and professionalism in policing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or related field.
10–15 years of law enforcement experience.
At least 5 years in a supervisory role.
Massachusetts driver's license (or ability to obtain).
Massachusetts Firearms License (or ability to obtain).
Meets MA Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission certification requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for all department operations.
Manage personnel, policies, programs, training, budgeting and resources.
Foster positive relationships with municipal officials and residents.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and professional standards.
