Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Extension is seeking a Community Development Educator to support Eau Claire, Chippewa, and Dunn counties with research-based education, facilitation, and leadership development.

You will identify priorities with county leadership, design outreach content, and collaborate across county governments, nonprofits, and businesses to address local opportunities. In-person work at a designated campus location is expected, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional experience in community development, local government, nonprofit settings.
• Experience facilitating groups and planning processes.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and groups.
• Experience designing, delivering, or supporting educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates resources to support outreach programs.
• Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members.
• May assist with monitoring outreach program budgets.
• Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials.
• Leads implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through day-to-day oversight.
• Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement.
• Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program.

Education

Bachelor's degree in community development or related field
