Job summary

North Shore Community Health is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to promote optimal dental health under a Dentist's direction. You will perform prophylaxis, screenings, chart conditions, and educate patients while working in a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in dental hygiene or related role.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene.
• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Local anesthesia certification preferred.
• Knowledge of dental equipment, OSHA standards, and safety compliance.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and dental prophylaxis.
• Review and update patient medical history at each visit.
• Maintain instrumentation through sharpening, sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• Perform prophylaxis, scale, polish, fluoride, sealants as indicated.
• Detect disease via oral cancer screening and periodontal assessment.
• Document hygiene services and findings in the Dentrix system.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control.
