Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a Communications Clerk to support internal and external communications while helping to maintain the organization's public presence through various channels. The role includes creating newsletters, managing social media, responding to inquiries, and supporting community outreach efforts. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required, with preference given to candidates holding a degree. Bilingual skills and a commitment to community service are also valued.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in administrative, communications, customer service, or nonprofit roles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute organizational communications (newsletters, flyers, etc.).
• Maintain and update social media platforms and website content.
• Respond to communication inquiries in a professional manner.
• Support outreach efforts for community events and fundraising activities.
• Draft and proofread correspondence and promotional materials.
• Assist with event preparation and community engagement.
