Job summary

Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking a Recreation Center Coordinator to manage building operations, supervise staff, engage with the community, and coordinate scheduling to guarantee open hours for our community centers.

You will develop and implement diverse recreation programs, work with partners, manage budgets, and lead customer service excellence. The role reports to the Recreation Operations Manager and requires collaboration across SPR teams.

Qualifications

• Requires two years' experience in a multipurpose recreation facility or program and a Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate diverse community programming.
• Experience building partnerships with community groups and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the community center and its programs.
• Develop and implement a broad range of recreational and cultural programs with partners.
• Supervise staff and volunteers, including performance management and training.
• Provide leadership, uphold policies, ensure excellent customer service.
• Recruit and organize advisory council, manage partnerships and contracts.
• Forecast and monitor resources; ensure compliance with city and department standards.
