Job summary

AmeriCorps is looking for a member to provide critical support at the Family Resource Center (FRC) in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves teaching, community outreach, and engaging with young children and their families to enhance early childhood development.

The ideal candidate will assist in various activities, including planning educational opportunities and community events, and will work predominantly indoors with some outdoor activities. Significant engagement with parents and children is a vital part of this role, ensuring developmental milestones are reached.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Available to serve evenings and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for staff with family resource center activities.
• Assist with educational opportunities through early literacy and STEAM concepts.
• Market the FRC to families and assist with outreach.
