Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Cumberland County, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in a community setting, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

The RN delivers care to individuals with disabilities and collaborates with a health team to uphold professional standards. Starting pay is $80,000 annually with a FT sign-on bonus of $1,500.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in nursing field.
• Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities.
• Valid RN license.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines.
• Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by the standards of professional practice or law
• Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their ISP
• Advise supervisor of all concerns and issues related to the provision of nursing services
• Create and distribute medical/health reports detailing general health, health care goals, and physician recommendations
• Conduct programmatic trainings including medication administration and delegation
• Develop and update ISP/PCP with an interdisciplinary team
• Train employees on the medical needs of assigned individuals
• Monitor health and medical conditions of individuals and refer for medical services as needed
• Monitor the use of medications through medication administration logs
• Ensure health service supplies are available and replenished as needed
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Build a support network for individuals with community members, businesses, and families
• Participate in community, social, and recreational activities
• Follow OSHA procedures regarding blood borne pathogens
• Cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
