Job summary

Centerstone in Independence, MO seeks a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist to help individuals with severe mental illness build independent lives. You will facilitate educational groups, support client recovery, and coordinate treatment plans in a recovery-focused setting.

Daily duties include providing psychosocial rehab services, engaging clients, transporting as needed, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote community functioning and wellness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of case management and psychosocial rehabilitation principles, techniques, and best practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychosocial rehabilitation education sessions under the guidance of clinical leadership.
• Plan, organize, and lead engaging groups, community outings, and therapeutic activities that support client recovery goals.
• Advocate for clients and assist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Perform client orientation, education, referral coordination, recordkeeping, and team planning activities.
• Build positive therapeutic relationships and serve as an encouraging role model for clients.
• Transport clients and perform business-related travel using agency vehicles as needed.
• Monitor the program environment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with program expectations.
• Communicate observations and concerns with the treatment team to support quality client care.
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
• Support organizational goals and perform additional duties as assigned.
