The Peer Support Specialist will work within a team to promote recovery, provide crisis assistance, and support person-centered planning for clients with mental health or co-occurring conditions.

Qualifications

• NC Peer Support Specialist certification is required.
• One year of adult behavioral health experience with mental health or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an active member of the CST, participates in team meetings, and provides input into the person-centered planning process.
• Guides and encourages individuals to participate in their own recovery.
• Models recovery values and resilience to encourage wellness.
• Assists with crisis interventions.
• Participates in development and revision of the PCP.
