Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. is hiring a Peer Support Specialist to work with PCMH/OTP Community-Based Services, addressing one-on-one support needs and helping clients with day-to-day problem-solving for reintegration into the community.

The role emphasizes harm reduction, assertive engagement, and peer support to connect with members in both community and facility settings, promoting a safe, inclusive recovery environment.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
• Minimum of six months experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field required.
• Current AZ Driver's License (Valid and in good standing).
• Clear 39-Month Motor Vehicle Record.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or able to obtain CPSS certification within 90 days (3 Months) of hire.
• Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and day-to-day problem-solving to aid normalization and reintegration into the community.
• Utilize assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer support to engage with members in the community and in the facility.
• Promote a recovery-focused, safe and inclusive environment for clients.

Education
