Job summary

EMPACT-SPC is a Glendale/Tempe based nonprofit providing behavioral health services and suicide prevention. The Children’s Services team builds positive family relationships, delivers home and community supports, and coordinates case management to help youth and families thrive.

The role requires a high school diploma, BHT certification, Spanish skills preferred, and a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends. Calibration with DCS is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BHT certification per AZDHS/BHS is required.
• Experience working with children with behavioral needs.
• Ability to engage with families and coordinate with DCS.
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Valid AZ driver’s license and regular transportation access.
• Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Promote the health, safety and well‑being of children and families.
• Provide mentoring and life/social skills to children and families.
• Collaborate with stakeholder groups in the community.
• Provide psychosocial rehabilitation living skills training in homes or community settings.
• Provide respite for families and assist with living skills in home settings.
• Conduct in‑home family and individual counseling.
• Support crisis stabilization and transition to higher care as needed.
• Address challenging behaviors proactively and respectfully.
