Job summary

The City of Fairfield’s Fairfield Community Arts Center is seeking enthusiastic instructors to develop and offer community classes. Instructors will collaborate with our team to design classes in areas such as cake decorating, cooking, sensory exploration, and Mommy & Me sessions, with sessions typically running 3–6 weeks based on registration.

Instructors will work Monday, Friday, and Saturday evenings in available spaces, creating lesson plans, sourcing supplies, and managing classroom

Qualifications

• Teaching experience is requested.
• Knowledge and experience in the class subject.
• Must possess effective oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver engaging and appropriate lesson plans under the direction of the Arts & Education Programmer.
• Creating supply lists and manage inventory.
• Set-up and clean-up of classroom / teaching space.
• Assist with program recruitment.
