The successful candidate will provide direct support for managing, editing, and distributing all executive correspondence including congressional reports, inquiries, letters/memorandum, read-ahead materials, proposed remarks, and other strategic communications. You'll be in the center of all Defense Programs (DP) activity. Assist in researching, identifying, and analyzing geo-political, technical, and economic issues that must be addressed in responding to correspondence.
  • Provide initial review of replies drafted by various components of DP, analyze written products for clarity, ensure conclusions reached are consistent with the facts presented, and recommend revisions. Assist in the preparation of correspondence for review/signature by NNSA senior leadership.
  • Work with the DAAG and DOE and NNSA Executive Secretariats to manage and track DP communications and monitor intra- and interagency coordination.
  • Collaborate with NNSA's Offices of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs and Communication to support congressional, intergovernmental, and public affairs activities as it relates to DP, including managing and supporting DP responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) by Members of Congress, senior Administration officials, and the public/media.
