Job summary

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking a Communications Specialist to join the Customer Experience and Resource Planning unit. The role supports the Communications Manager by writing articles, producing PR and marketing materials, and developing content for UFIT's digital presence across university sites and social channels.

You may mentor student assistants, help design web content using WordPress or TerminalFour, and contribute to outcomes analysis, surveys, and reports to inform UFIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong writing and editing skills with AP style knowledge.
• Experience creating content for digital media and public relations campaigns.
• Ability to design or review web content and support accessibility practices.

Responsibilities

• Write articles, create PR and marketing materials, and manage photography needs.
• Support the university's digital communications footprint and web/social content.
• Assist with web content design using CMS platforms and analyze analytics.
• Support events planning and measurement through surveys and reports.
