This role will help shape Amazon’s financial narrative to external and internal stakeholders, and will work cross functionally across Communications, Investor Relations, Legal, Finance and Global Business Services, and other business areas.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build relationships with stakeholders to surface and tell authentic stories from within.
  • Create employee communications that inspire and inform our global workforce.
  • Support the quarterly earnings process.
  • Co-produce and project manage global, organization-wide communications events, such as org-wide meetings and Amazon’s Annual Shareholder Meeting.
  • Support VP-level external events and media engagement activities.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and communications as needed.

The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative, and has a proven track record of developing high-impact narratives across owned, earned, and internal channels. Strong editorial judgment and ability to identify newsworthy angles are essential, as is experience adapting content for different audiences. We value candidates who are excited to experiment with emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance communication effectiveness.

A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing overnight media coverage and flagging emerging themes for your team. From there, you could shift into drafting messaging for an upcoming announcement, or internal storytelling. After lunch, you join a working session to plan an org-wide event. Throughout it all, you are balancing multiple programs, keeping timelines on track, and ensuring every piece of content meets a high standard of clarity and accuracy.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in media relations and issues management

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to earn trust: Proven experience successfully collaborating with & influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Project management expertise: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
