Job summary

Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters in Illinois seeks a Communications Specialist to develop, refine, implement, and evaluate messages across ministry areas, enhancing material integration and conveying the Congregation's facts, mission, charism, and spirit.

The role includes web and social media support as a web and social media assistant, assisting with website design and maintenance, researching and drafting communications, and coordinating publishing projects.

Qualifications

• BA in communications, journalism, marketing or related fields.
• Publishing Programs or related experience.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – especially Dreamweaver, InDesign and Photoshop.
• BA in computer science and web design.
• Excellent research, writing and editing skills; ability to collate and synthesize materials for brochures and booklet publication.
• Spanish fluency is a bonus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Attention to detail; strong project management and follow-through on tasks.
• Recording secretary skills.

The Communication Specialist assists the different areas of ministry in developing, refining, implementing, and evaluating the communication needs of the areas to define messages, enhance integration of materials, and convey the facts, mission, charism, and spirit of the Congregation.
As web and social media assistant assists the communication committee with the design and maintenance of the website and social media.

BA in communications, journalism, marketing or related fields
