Job summary

Northwoods Land Trust is seeking a Communications Specialist to lead NWLT's public relations and storytelling efforts. You will write, design, and distribute print and digital content to illuminate NWLT’s mission, impact, and values for supporters, communities served, and the public.

Responsibilities include developing print materials (newsletters, annual reports, brochures), managing digital presence, and creating traveling displays to share NWLT stories with audiences.

Job description

The Communications Specialist will lead communications and public relations efforts including the writing, design, and distribution of print and digital content using a suite of technology. The Specialist will clearly and impactfully share stories, information, and visuals about NWLT’s mission, impact, and values to internal and external audiences. The Specialist will be versed in the conservation programs and policies of NWLT to effectively communicate to its supporters, communities it serves, and the general public.

Print Materials

Write, design, print, and mail:

• Newsletters- Develop articles and oversee the production of the print newsletters 2-3x/year. Conduct interviews to effectively share personal stories.
• Annual Report- Compile NWLT stats, accomplishments, and photographs. 1x/year.
• Brochures/Booklet Guides- Update and revise/refresh publications as needed.
• Traveling Displays- Update, revise, or create new content, as needed.
