Marksman Security Corporation is seeking a Communications Security Operator (Dispatcher) in Plano, TX. The role pays $20.00 per hour for the 1st shift (Thursday through Sunday, 6:00am–2:00pm) and involves monitoring security systems, dispatching personnel, and coordinating emergency communication 24/7/365.

The ideal candidate will have security and customer service experience, familiarity with monitoring and report writing, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Texas non-commissioned security license.
• Experience in security and customer service environments.
• Proficient report writing and real-time monitoring.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).

Responsibilities

• Monitor emails, access control, and alarms in real time.
• Watch CCTV for hazards, door status, and unauthorized access.
• Dispatch field officers and emergency responders during incidents.
• Handle incoming calls and alerts via internal systems and weather channels.
• Document incidents in security reporting platforms.
• Follow SOPs and escalation protocols.
• Use radio, intercom, telephone, PA, and computer systems professionally.
• Operate badge software to enable/disable access.
• Provide security support for client projects and events.
• Enforce client access policies to protect property.

$20.00 per hour

1st Shift

Thursday thru Sunday 6:00am - 2:00pm

Security Operations Center Experience is Required

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security AND customer service fields.

Join our growing North America Operations Center (NAOC) team as a Dispatcher, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of people, assets, and operations in North America.

You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, dispatching response personnel, and coordinating emergency communication — 24/7/365.

The site is a Headquarters location and will require the highest level of professionalism, customer service, technology skills, and high-quality candidates with excellent work ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor emails, access control, and alarm systems in real-time.
• Monitor the facility's CCTV to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized people.
• Dispatch field security officers and emergency responders during incidents.
• Manage incoming phone calls and alerts via internal communications system, national weather, and act quickly and decisively.
• Document incidents accurately in security electronic reporting platforms.
• Follow standard operating procedures and escalation protocols.
• Utilize internal communications systems, including radio, intercom, telephone, PA systems, and computer-based software with a high level of professionalism.
• Operate facility badging software, including enabling and disabling badges.
• Provide security support for various client projects and events.
• Administer all client policies for controlling access to client property

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Non-Commissioned security license through the state of Texas
• Familiarity with report writing
• Monitoring and surveillance experience
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Previous security experience is required
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience utilizing security equipment and protocols required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
