Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Communications Manufacturing Engineer for its Modular Mission Critical facility in Ruther Glen, near Richmond, VA. You will provide technical and administrative information to ensure work complies with standards, and work with production to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Review and produce drawings for manufacturing.
• Set up drawings in M.C. Dean’s proprietary manufacturing software.
• Work with production crews to solve build problems and increase efficiency.
• Assist with scheduling deliveries of raw materials for production.
• Assist with scheduling shipments of finished goods.
• QC final goods and document deficiencies.
• Participate in team meetings and develop methods of improvement.
• Track issues and pursue resolutions.
• Participate in pre-testing of systems prior to deployment.
• Be open to training and learning opportunities.
• Be willing to travel to Tysons Corner, VA as needed.

This position supports M. C. Dean’s rapid grow in manufacturing products for Mission Critical Customers for telecommunication systems. The position is located at M. C. Dean’s Modular Mission Critical facility in Ruther Glen.

The Communications Manufacturing Engineer Provides technical & administrative information to others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all basic engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction; trouble-shoots engineering related installation problems. Works closely supervised and solves problems of limited scope and complexity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably from an ABET accredited program).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Pay Range

USD $68,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
