The Salvation Army of Central Indiana seeks a Central Indiana Communications and Public Relations Manager to lead public relations, craft compelling content for social media, websites, and publications, and provide graphic design and video support for the CI.
You will coordinate with local media, manage the CI calendar, train web admins, and oversee online presence across multiple platforms while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

As the Central Indiana Communications and Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the mission on The Salvation Army in Central Indiana (hereafter CI), through managing and developing public relations, and writing, managing, and editing content for social media pages, websites, other online services, and various publications. The Communications and Public Relations Manager also provides graphic design, digital creative, and video support to the CI.
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment.
Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed.
May supervise interns and/or support staff and volunteers as needed.
Travel required primarily within Marion County and the surrounding collar counties, with occasional travel within the state of Indiana and to Chicago for training purposes.
Work is performed in a typical office environment, with occasional work at Salvation Army units and area venues. Work may occasionally include evenings and weekends, especially during the Christmas season.
