Job summary

Wellspring Philanthropic Fund (WPF) seeks a communications intern to assist with internal and external communications under the Director of Communications. The internship provides training in philanthropy, social justice, and human rights, supporting program staff and grantmaking activities.

Responsibilities include drafting materials, planning talking points, coordinating events, and maintaining content quality.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant field (e.g., journalism, communications, marketing).
• Strong English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AP Stylebook and/or Chicago Manual of Style.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Draft press materials and internal documents.
• Assist with talking points and presentation materials.
• Support event logistics and planning.
• Monitor web and social media for coverage of WPF.
• Ensure content aligns with style and branding; perform copyediting.
• Produce communications-related projects under the Director of Communications.
• Help develop internal communications strategy.
• Organize meetings and conference calls; perform routine administrative tasks.
