Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Communications Intern for Summer 2027 to support internal and external communications. This paid internship is full-time for 10 weeks with exposure to corporate communications within the healthcare technology sector.

Based in Texas, Georgia, or Virginia, you will draft materials, assist with campaigns, monitor media, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure clear messaging.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, editing and proofreading a variety of communications materials, including internal announcements, press releases, website content, social media posts, presentations, etc.
• Support the planning and execution of internal and external communication campaigns and events.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities and media coverage to inform communications strategies.
• Manage and update content on internal communication platforms and external digital channels.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
• Assist with media monitoring and reporting on communications effectiveness.
• Provide general administrative support to the Communications team as needed.

Commercial Strategy and Innovation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Communications Intern for Summer 2027 to support our internal and external communications efforts. Intern Program Details

• Paid Internship

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson’s pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
