Job summary

FC Cincinnati is seeking a Communications Intern to join the Communications & Content team. The role focuses on honing writing, media relations, and PR skills while supporting matchday needs and pre-match activities at the Mercy Health Training Facility and TQL Stadium.

The internship runs during the 2027 MLS Sprint Season (Feb–Apr) with potential for extension based on performance. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, collaborates well, and delivers accurate notes and timely transcripts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Strong interpersonal skills and a service mentality when working with media
• Always represent the club in ethical and professional manners
• Fast typing and proofreading/editing skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and email platforms

Responsibilities

• Writer and Editor: assist with press releases and recaps, copy editing, gather information from across the organization, transcribe quotes from press conferences and media availability
• Sports Information Assistant: compile and distribute notes, statistics and information for FC Cincinnati and matches
• Press Operations Assistant: assist with media access, press conference setup and media accreditation
• Corporate Communications: help publicize the club's corporate communications
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Communications and staff related to weekly and matchday operations
