Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a communications intern to write and edit content for advisors and employees, while producing newsroom pieces and feature stories. You will research trends, review materials, and support strategy development and spokespeople preparation.

You will also craft media pitches, join PR agency calls, and assist in local market outreach. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with exposure to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
• Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and their application to improve efficiency and support communications initiatives.
• Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
