  • Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot radios, routers, satellite terminals, secure network devices, and associated platform infrastructure.
  • Implement approved resilience measures, including redundancy, failover, frequency management, interference mitigation, and alternative communications pathways.
  • Support integration with autonomy, mission systems, and command-and-control applications to maintain reliable vehicle connectivity and operational control.
  • Conduct RF performance testing and operational validation during development, harbour trials, sea trials, demonstrations, and end-user evaluations.
  • Evaluate third-party equipment and vendor recommendations, identify technical or integration risks, and provide clear findings to the Lead Communications Engineer.
  • Maintain system diagrams, interface records, equipment configurations, installation procedures, test evidence, and troubleshooting documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Communications, RF, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in communications systems engineering, RF engineering, network integration, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating communications systems across complex platforms or distributed operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of LOS/BLOS architectures, tactical datalinks, IP networking, resilience principles, and secure networking or encryption technologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to assess third-party solutions and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Must possess, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Department of Defense, tactical communications, SATCOM, software-defined radio, or military network architectures.
  • Experience supporting unmanned, autonomous, maritime, or command-and-control systems.
  • Experience operating or testing communications in contested or electronically degraded environments.
  • Experience working directly with military users, defense customers, or operational end users.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, military communications qualifications, or vendor-specific training.
