Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support day-to-day coordination and communications at our Indianapolis training facility. You will consult with internal partners and outside vendors to create written and visual communication plans that enhance the trainee experience.

This on-site role requires hands-on organization, strong writing ability, and the capacity to coordinate requests between the facility and client while supporting management with communications and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; 2–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Highly organized with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with participants and trainers to monitor program sentiment and capture success stories.
  • Draft and edit internal and external communications and pitch stories for media.
  • Create content for social channels, track engagements and outcomes.
  • Manage media databases and on-site guest coordination.
  • Coordinate trainings, events and schedules with the facility and client.
  • Develop executive messaging and support management with complex projects.

About The Role

About The Role

As a CBRE Communications Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day coordination and communications support in a training facility to help ensure a strong trainee experience. You will consult with internal partners and outside vendors to create written and visual communication plans. This job is part of the Communications job function. They are responsible for developing internal and external communications that are related to organizational values, strategy, and performance. The role is 100% on-site (Monday-Friday) and is highly hands-on, requiring someone who is responsive, organized, comfortable interacting with trainees and trainers, and able to quickly coordinate requests between the training facility and client.

What You’ll Do
  • Build relationships with participants and trainers to monitor program sentiment, capture compelling success stories, and prepare individuals for speaking engagements.
  • Draft and edit internal and external communication including presentations, email memos, etc. Pitch stories and provide management support for media interview prep.
  • Cultivate content for social media channels, track, and report on outcomes and engagement.
  • Manage and track media databases and coverage.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for guests and leadership, managing facility tours, coordinating schedules, and troubleshooting any last-minute needs.
  • Ensure successful training program graduations by assisting with event logistics, speaker preparation, etc.
  • Conduct background research and content development for speeches and presentations.
  • Receive and review confidential information and develop executive messaging.
  • Assist management with advanced administrative needs.
  • Collaborate with management and communication teams to understand project outcomes and needs. Help with complex projects and PR strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices within the communications space.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
