Northwest Youth Corps is seeking a Communications Coordinator in Eugene, Oregon to develop and manage social media, website content, and recruitment campaigns for our programs.
The role is part of the Communications and External Affairs Team, focusing on boosting public awareness and attracting the next generation of conservation heroes through targeted campaigns.

Since 1984, Northwest Youth Corps (NYC), a non-profit organization, has given tens of thousands of youth and young adults opportunities to learn, grow, and experience success. Through partnerships with conservation agencies, youth and young adults gain the personal and professional skills needed to carry out a variety of stewardship projects, from which they can earn a stipend, high school credit, and/or an AmeriCorps educational award. NYC also operates an accredited charter school, internship program, and the Idaho Conservation Corps(ICC).
The Communications Coordinator assists in the development and management of social media, website, and recruitment campaigns for Northwest Youth Corps and their suite of programs. The Communications Coordinator will develop more public awareness about Northwest Youth Corps' ongoing programs and recruitment efforts needed to support those programs.
This position is an active member of the Communications and External Affairs Team and will work to both showcase the various conservation programs we operate as well as help attract the next generation of conservation heroes by managing targeted recruitment campaigns.

Based in Eugene, requires periodic (less than 20%) travel to remote project locations within OR, WA, and ID. This is a full time, hourly position. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00 PM, with periodic long days and/or evening and weekend responsibilities seasonally. Eligible for 20% remote work (One day per week) after 60 days of employment.
