Job summary

Grace Church Eden Prairie is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support internal communications, strategic planning and ministry initiatives. You will coordinate content with ministries, manage campaigns, and assist with social media and branding.

The role requires 2+ years in communications or content marketing, a bachelor's degree preferred, and strong writing, design and project-management skills. This is a full-time exempt position with Grace Church's communications team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Communications, Content Marketing or similar position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and English usage.
• Solid graphic design and visual marketing knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize, manage and assign projects by workload and skills.
• Detail-oriented multitasker able to see concepts through to completion.
• Exhibits a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and lifestyle appropriate to public Christian ministry.
• Active participation in Grace Church life and ministries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate creative requests, including graphics, print items, apparel and displays.
• Plan and distribute weekly/monthly communications with ministry partners.
• Assist ministries with campaign development and events, including comm briefs to maintain workflow.
• Assist ministries with social media content creation and collaboration.
• Maintain Grace Church brand standards with the Sr. Director of Communications.
• Assist communications department with other duties as assigned.
• Plan and execute church-wide priorities and strategies, potentially introducing new platforms.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Communications Coordinator reports to the Sr. Director of Communications and serves as part of the Grace Church communications department. They are highly involved with internal communication as well as Grace Church strategic/creative planning and execution, while serving as a key point of contact for Grace Church ministries and their ministry initiatives.

• Work alongside Grace Church ministries to coordinate communications content, plus support event promotion and marketing needs.
• Coordinate creative requests, including graphics, print items, apparel and displays.
• Plan and distribute weekly/monthly communications in coordination with ministry partners.
• Develop and assist ministries with campaign development and events, including creating comm briefs to maintain workflow.
• Assist ministries with social media content creation and collaboration.
• Maintain brand standards in collaboration with Sr. Director of Communications.
• Assist communications department with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Work alongside the communications department to plan and execute church-wide priorities and strategies, which could include the introduction of a texting platform or new podcast.
• Build and maintain strong ministry relationships while providing strategic insight to ministries on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:

• Experience required: 2 years+ of experience in Communications, Content Marketing or comparable position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and the nuances of the English language.
• A strong knowledge of graphic design and visual marketing.
• Ability to prioritize, manage and assign projects based on workloads and skill sets.
• Detail-oriented multi-tasker who can see work through from concept to completion.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
