Job summary

Save the Boundary Waters is seeking a Communications Associate to join the team in Minnesota. This full-time role can be remote within Minnesota or hybrid in Minneapolis or Ely, reporting to the Communications Director.

You’ll support day-to-day communications, manage projects, write updates, craft social posts, and help grow online engagement for our national campaign. You’ll collaborate with staff, capture stories on-site, monitor analytics, and assist with events and materials.

Qualifications

• Experience running social media campaigns and digital marketing tactics.
• Familiarity with Meta ads, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) like EveryAction, NGP VAN, Blackbaud, Drupal, Squarespace or Wix.
• Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office; Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project management, copywriting, social media support, design and layout.
• Write and post website updates including action pages, events, press releases, and blog posts.
• Develop and implement new social media strategies (YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn).
• Capture stories via camera or phone and track digital analytics.
• Compile and organize visual assets and assist with communications-related record-keeping.
• Manage projects with Google Drive and Monday.com.
• Support public events and materials, including occasional evenings/weekends/travel.
